Naveed qualified in 2001 and since then has worked in general practice and hospitals. After completing his vocational training and working several years in general dental practice he completed a part time Aesthetic restorative course in Manchester in 2008 and Implant course from the Eastman Dental Institute in 2011.
After that he obtained his Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery with the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow in 2013 and in the same year he joined King’s College London to begin a four year specialist training programme in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics.
He was subsequently awarded the M Clin Dent in Prosthodontics and M Pros
(Membership in Prosthodontics), the highest formal qualification available for the Prosthodontics speciality, by the Royal college of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He is formally recognised by the General Dental Council UK, as a specialist in Prosthodontics. He provides specialist treatment at this practice in crowns, implants, bridges and dentures.

Graham qualified from the Royal London Hospital in 1986 and practiced in hospital Oral Surgery for 2 years before moving into General Dental Practice.
Graham then continued his postgraduate education in fixed and removable prosthodontics. He passed Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and then undertook a two year Masters degree in Conservation, which he passed with distinction from Guy’s Hospital.
Whilst at Guy’s, he developed a special interest in the intricacies of occlusion, implant placement and complex restorative treatment.
In 2000 Graham gained his Membership in Restorative Dentistry (MRD) and was admitted onto the Specialist list in Prosthodontics.
He has had a referral practice for crown and bridgework and implants since 1996.
It is always extremely difficult to provide estimates over the telephone. A simple letter of referral from colleagues is requested highlighting the nature of the problems and any relevant medical or psychological history.

Philip McCauley graduated from Queen’s University Belfast Dental School in 1999. After a year in general practice Philip then worked for a year as a Senior House Officer in the Oral Surgery department at Poole General Hospital gaining valuable experience in dentoalveolar surgery as well as passing the MFDS examination in May 2001. Philip has completed many post graduate courses, notably the year restorative course with Michael Wise in 2004.
Philip went straight into the field of oral implantology and has been placing and restoring dental implants since 2002, when he was awarded the a Fellowship of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Philip carries out all aspects of implant dentistry including multiple implant cases, full mouth rehabilitation on implants, bone augmentation, bone grafting and has a special interest in the field of immediate loading of dental implants for single, multiple, full arch and full mouth implant cases.
In recent years Philip has been lecturing to local dentists on simple restorative implant cases, mainly using the DENTSPLY Implants Ankylos system, and is coordinating the set-up of a Study Club for local dentists on challenging restorative cases.
More recently Philip has been to Bologna, Italy, to learn the application of cutting edge technology to help in the rehabilitation of immediately placed implants, using the Weld-one intra-oral resistance spot welding device. This is a very exciting new field in implant dentistry

David qualified from Cardiff University in 2000 and joined the Royal Army Dental Corp. He attained the rank of Major with postings including Germany, Bosnia, Brunei and the UK. He completed initial surgical training in the Royal Surrey County Hospital and then joined private practice. He has since completed further postgraduate training at Kings College London in Prosthodontics. David’s implant training has also included a fellowship at the University of Berne, Switzerland.
David has published extensively in the areas of aesthetics in dental implants, immediate loading of dental implants, ceramic implants and digital dentistry, he has also published multiple research papers in peer reviewed international dental journals. His work has been presented at the European Association of Osseintegration congresses in Athens and Copenhagen and he has also presented at the ITI world congress in Geneva.
David lectures both nationally and internationally on both the surgical and restorative aspects of dental implants. He has recently lectured in France, Switzerland, Latvia, Dubai and Oman as well as lecturing in the UK. David is a founder member of The Byrnes Implant Study Group, the BDA and SAAD (Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry). David’s practice is now restricted to Advanced Prosthodontics and Dental Implants. Away from dentistry, David is a keen rugby player and snowboarder.

Simon qualified in Birmingham in 1991 and spent 3 years at Senior House Officer level and working part-time in general practice which continued through his postgraduate hospital training. In 1995 he commenced a 3-year position in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at Manchester Dental Hospital where he completed the Fellowship in Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and an MSc in Restorative Dentistry.
In 1998 he commenced a 5-year specialist-training pathway in Restorative Dentistry at Sheffield Dental Hospital and the Glenfield Hospital in Leicester. During this time he was awarded the Travel Fellowship by the British Society for the Study of Prosthetic Dentistry and visited the Oslo Cleft Team in Norway and the Branëmark Implant Clinic in Sweden. He also spent time with the Maxillofacial Prosthetist at the Morriston Hospital in Swansea and in conjunction with Leicester General Hospital became involved with the treatment of patients with Sleep Breathing Disorders. At the end of this pathway, in 2003, he completed the Specialist Fellowship in Restorative Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and was accredited as an NHS Consultant and entered on the Specialist Lists in Prosthodontics, Endodontics, Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry.
He was the Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at Torbay Hospital from June 2003 until December 2009 when he was appointed as the Consultant in Restorative Dentistry and Oral Rehabilitation at Poole Hospital to set up and run the restorative dentistry service for patients affected by head and neck cancer who are treated with surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
His philosophy is to offer an honest appraisal and advice to patients where there is uncertainty on how best to progress and provide specialist treatment when required and maintain close collaboration with the patient’s own Dentist for longterm care and maintenance.

John qualified from Kings College London in 1990, where he was awarded the Claudius Ash prize in Conservation and the Jose Souyave Endodontic prize. He continued his postgraduate education at Guy’s Hospital London where he achieved a Distinction in the Endodontic MSc. He completed his Specialist training at The Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh with MRD in Endodontics. John was awarded Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Edinburgh 2013. John is registered on the GDC Specialist list in Endodontics and now runs a busy Endodontic referral practice in Poole, Dorset.
John lectures throughout the UK and contributes widely to postgraduate Endodontic teaching. He has published research papers in several refereed journals and numerous articles for dental press. He is co-author of the Endodontic textbook Endodontics: Problem Solving in Clinical Practice, Author of Advanced Endodontics: Re-treatment and Surgery and contributing Author in Harty’s Endodontics in Clinical Practice.
John is a referee for the International Endodontic Journal and ENDO (Endodontic Practice Today).
He currently writes a monthly column Rhodes’ Referrals in Dental Practice, provides Endodontic content for the Dental Channel and runs the Dorset Endo Study Group from the practice.

Fernando graduated from the University of Granada, Spain in 2007. As part of his training, he spent one year at the University of Oslo, Norway. He then worked for three years as a general dentist in Gran Canaria, Spain, where he discovered his passion for Periodontics and Implant dentistry. This drove him to undertake a 3-year full-time Specialist Training in Periodontics at the world-renowned UCL Eastman Dental Institute in London. He later obtained Membership in Periodontics with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and was recognised as a Specialist in Periodontics by the General Dental Council. He joined the South Coast Dental Specialists team in 2013, where he has helped many patients to prevent tooth loss and replace some of their teeth with dental implants when necessary.
He has carried out research in the field of bone regeneration and presented his clinical work internationally. Above all, Fernando is very caring and seeks to understand each patient’s individual needs and treat them using an evidence-based approach.

Specialist in Oral Surgery, Stephen qualified from Guy’s Hospital Dental School in 1976 and whilst still a student, was commissioned by the Royal Navy.
On qualifying he remained at Guy’s Hospital for 6 months undertaking a House Officers position in Oral Surgery. The next 18 years were spent in the Royal Naval Dental Service which saw appointments at all three Naval Hospitals, namely Plymouth, Haslar (Gosport) and Gibraltar.
In 1987 he returned to Guy’s Hospital to study a Masters of Science Degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and graduated with distinction in October 1988. In 1995, on leaving the Royal Navy, he joined the National Health Service and was appointed to the Maxillofacial Unit at Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth.
In addition to undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, Stephen is also a Fellow in Dental Surgery at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and holds a membership to the recently designed diploma in surgical dentistry. He is an expert in implant placement and bone grafting, averaging in excess of 500 implant cases a year.
